Reservation
After an amazing summer season, we’ve closed the hut and are back in the valley. The bivouac is open, please book directly through the reservation system. Access via the Eismeer is no longer guaranteed as the bridge has been removed. It is recommended to ascend via the Ostegghütte, which is open until Saturday, September 26. Many thanks to all our guests, suppliers, family & friends! Without you all, such a season wouldn’t be possible. Hopefully see you next year :) We are currently updating the reservation system, so bookings for summer 2027 will only be possible again from February 2027. Thanks for your understanding.

Access to the Mittellegi Hut from Eismeer Station

General Information

Take the Jungfrau Railway to the Eismeer station and walk through the tunnel to the Challifirn. On this impressive glacier you cross over to the rocks (attention: ice fall!). The entrance to the rocks is in the fall line of the Grosser Turm. Here you climb up two pitches (equipped with bolts) in the 4th degree of difficulty and cross over scree bands to the hut.
